One Question, Seven Sisters: The Small Shifts We’re Making Right Now
This week’s question felt a little different.
Not big goals. Not dramatic resets.
Just the small things we’re trying to do better — the habits, the shifts, the quiet changes that feel doable right now.
Here’s what came back.
SHERI
Weightlifting
Living in the present (and not overthinking the future)
LAURI
Getting protein and fiber consistently into meals
Using better skincare consistently (retinol + hydration)
JOANI
Making dinner in the morning to avoid end-of-day chaos
Creating healthier, more intentional meals
MARCI
10k steps a day
Daily meditation
More time in nature
Eating more intuitively
HEIDI
Starting the day with a simple list
Staying focused and keeping all the balls in the air (without bouncing them everywhere)
BECKI
Buying less
Shopping what she already has
A Slower Shift
VICKI
Lately, I’ve been trying to make small, gentle shifts toward feeling better in my body — nothing dramatic, just little nudges in the right direction.
I actually put a daily walk break on my work calendar (which feels like a win in itself). I haven’t quite pulled myself away from my computer yet, but even seeing it there reminds me I want to move more — and that matters.
I’m also on week three of trying creatine monohydrate. The jury is still out, but I’m staying curious. These things take time, and I’m learning to be patient with the process instead of expecting instant results.
What I’m really starting to understand is that at this stage of life, it’s less about pushing harder and more about supporting myself in smart, sustainable ways.
Not perfect… just better, little by little.
None of this is dramatic.
But maybe that’s the point.
It’s not about starting over; it’s about adjusting, paying attention, and choosing small things that actually stick.
Seven different approaches.
Seven different rhythms.
All moving in the same direction…
just a little at a time.
Small steps, real life

Vicki, I’ve been better about time management and using my calendar to help me. Need to add in those breaks, I don’t do that right now. Dan has been taking creatine for the past couple months and says he really feels a difference.
